As an Engineering Trader, one of the more annoying things you'll be called upon to do is to craft the Mandalorian Helmet. If you refer your customers to this guide, it may ease your pain.

The Mandalorian Helmet is a one-use draft schematic that is crafted in the Droid Engineer's Crafting Room in the bowels of the Death Watch Bunker on Endor.  Both the schematic and the helmet itself must be crafted by a Master Trader in Engineering.  The schematic requires the following resources:

  • 40 units of Wooly Hide
  • 40 units of Solid Petrochem Fuel
  • 2 identical Assault Armor Cores from a factory crate
  • 1 Synthetic Cloth
  • 1 Reinforced Fiber Panel
  • 1 Biological-Mechanical Cartridge (optional)
  • 1 Feathered Appearance Enhancement (optional)
  • 1 Armor Appearance Enhancement (optional)

Experimental Properties:  Decay Resistance 33%, Overall Quality 33%, Shock Resistance 33%.

Experimentation on the final assembly only determines the Condition score of the helmet, which is not significant since decay has not been used in Star Wars Galaxies for over a year.  The optional parts marginally improve this Condition score.  The helmet's protection comes solely from the Assault Armor Cores used, so you want a Master Munitions Trader with excellent resources to make a crate of these for you.

Customizable colors of the Mandalorian Helmet

The helmet itself has two customizable colors.  Color 1 is around the eye and mouth slits; Color 2 is the skullcap and cheek areas of the helmet.  Color 2 also influences the neck and lower back of the helmet, but these colors will always be much darker than the color actually selected as Color 2.  For example, if you pick a bright red, those area will be a very dark red, almost black.

Color palettes for the Mandalorian Helmet

The person for whom the helmet is being crafted should choose the colors desired from the palettes on the left, selecting by row and column number, with the upper left corner of each palette designated as Row 1, Column 1.  For example, the selected color (outlined in yellow) on the Color 1 palette would be Row 3, Column 2.  The selected color on the Color 2 palette would be Row 2, Column 6.
